Computational Biology Group (CBG)

We are engaged in developing mathematical models of complex biological systems and in designing efficient algorithms for analyzing high-throughput molecular data. Our goal is to predict the behavior of biological systems and to support the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Our activities include the design of mathematical and statistical models, their implementation in computer programs, and application to biomedical problems. We have active research projects on HIV drug resistance, somatic evolution of cancer, cellular networks, haplotype inference, statistical analysis of deep sequencing data, and reconstruction of signaling pathways from RNAi screens.
