The Competence Center for Systems Physiology and Metabolic Diseases offers an international Ph.D. Program under the umbrella of the Life Science Zurich Graduate School.

Our Ph.D. program «Molecular and Translational Biomedicine» imparts knowledge, concepts and modern approaches in basic and applied biomedical research. Students have the opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of topics including energy homeostasis, metabolism, aging, cell growth and differentiation, stem cells, inflammation and cell signaling in a CC-SPMD group of their choice. The program provides a modern teaching curriculum to advance the molecular knowledge in cell, tissue and organ function with the goal to improve genomic-based patient care.

Students with a master degree in the Life Sciences, (Bio)Informatics, Mathematics, Medical Sciences or (Bio)Engineering are invited to apply (via the Life Science Zurich Graduate School).

The program language is English.

Chair of the Ph.D. Program
Prof. Matthias Peter
